  5. Good evening everyone of the 2024 FinLit class. I would like to express my gratefulness as being part of this new program for the year. I planned to take from this class a new outlook on saving and budgeting. My main focus is to override my old ways of thinks on how I should save, monitor my money not just in day to day but conscious spending that will keep me on track for daily and long-term goals of my financial management. I plan to come to get to know the women in this group so that we can continue to help each other stay in financial compliance starting at this short time spent to becoming long-term partners in our financial health. This is the beginning of a long lasting financial journey that we have developed as a Financial Sisterhood. I look forward to this and this will help not just myself but all of us. And as we learn we share with our family and friends.

Next, budgeting, in order for me to save I need to follow the budget given to us in this class. Lastly, my credit is not the best and I need to learn ways to increase my credit score. Overall, these are the areas I believe this class can support me in.

  8. I joined this class to get a better understanding of my finances. My goal is to purchase a duplex but the way I be spending its not going to happen! So I am hoping to gain some knowledge on how to save better and learn how to budget. I think once I get this budgeting down it is definitely going to help. I am also going to pass whatever I learn here onto my partner so we can both be on the same page.

    1. I like the way you used that quote because I learned from my prior class I attended that the only way I can achieve those What-ifs of Life is to not be afraid to meet my challenges before they over take everything concerning my financial stability. I use to have the "Ostrich" effect of looking at my finances and I learned from taking the class and continue to utilize skills learned and gained. I also learned I have to tweak my way of thinking constantly.
