Week 7: Using Credit & Loans Wisely
week 7 - Last evening we explored the importance of using credit wisely. Review your credit use; Are you using credit wisely? If so how and what measures will you undertake to use credit more wisely? What was your number one take away from last night class?

Yes I'm using my credit wisely now. I have been trying to keep my balances under the 30% usage. It's a good feeling see that number under 30 and my score rising. Only use the cards if I can pay off the balance to avoid the interest rate charge. I feel empowered more since taking this class. It's such a great feeling taking away all this knowledge and using it for the good. I have the power to change my circumstances that's the one I took away from the class
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, I admire your determination and confidence. I like the way you captured the importance of avoiding interest charges something I really never but into consideration, but to know that this is what you do. I would like to copy you on that good habit. Thanks ;)
DeleteHello Financial literacy sisters, I struggle with using credit wisely. I am working on making my payments on time and not purchasing nonessential items. I do need to continue working on utilizing credit wisely. Furthermore, nothing can be done in a day and it is about progress not perfection.
ReplyDeletei agree with you i need to stop buy unnecessary staff but we got this
DeleteAnnastacia it is a struggle and it's going to take time. You're being accountability that's great. I started using a calendar to remind me of my due dates and what's do. It's been helping to maintain my payments on time. Thank you for being honest and sharing

Deletei agree what i found to be useful was to have one credit card to "nonessentional spending like fast food" in order to keep track on my spending as well to keep it under 30%
Hola, i learn in this class to keep tracking my credit use and keep it 30% or lower before this class i use my credit card super wrong.
ReplyDeleteOmayra, see I had a reality check on this as well I was looking at this that way too, so I think we are on our way to knowing the right way to look at this!
DeleteHola Chica. I'm glad you are utilizing the tools from this class. Keep pushing forward.
DeleteHello fellow Co-Hort's, was I aware of the use of credit yes, but using my credit use wisely absolutely not! The sad thing of it is, is that I thought I had this thing of credit use under control. This has happened time and time again. But as I have come to better understand how important credit reflects our whole being I am coming to realize that I must stay continuously aware of my spending habits, cash and my use of credit cards. I must always think, is it a need or a want, and always stay below the 30 percent rule. So putting forth all of my efforts toward credit use and it being used wisely until it becomes like breathing to me I must stay focused and aware. It is a battle I am willing to fight, but I do not have to take it on alone and by myself. I have this group and it's leader to help me. Number one take away is, stay below, to stay above; and gaining this knowledge is a "winning of my battles" of being credit smart.
